During Pakan’s 2006 visit to Cambodia, he traveled for six hours from Phnom Penh to Koah Kong, an island near the Thailand border. Near a fishing village, he spotted this peaceful blue boat on a sunny day, casting a calming reflection onto the rippling water. The sticks, to which the boat is tethered, convey the natural environment of the thriving village. Pakan instantly knew that he must this scene with the world.
